I honestly wish I could've posted sooner. It's stupid to make excuses and say I was doing this, doing that, blah blah blah. I didn't have the time to work on this though I assure you. (Plus I'm at a point where there's not much I can do.)
FAPCOM has still disappeared off the face of the earth. In which case please email me Arsham at z.fied@hotmail.co.uk
My main concerns are:
1) The style difference will be noticeable
2) FAPCOM hasn't actually gone
It would be stupid to say (like I have before) that this year is probably my most important year, because honestly, every year is the most important year, and I just don't prioritise this highly enough. I do still work on this, but it's become very occasional. However, once I start getting some new art in here I'll be able to do a lot more, which will probably make me more productive.

Good to hear from you Z ... Not being let down in the least , things are almost never perfect and we shouldn't expect them to be. So you do what you can, when you can and it will be alright :D

DeleteHow so? If done right, it wouldn't be different at all, it would merely have a different graphics engine or some such. The mechanics could still all be the same, and the story wouldn't need changed. The only real change would be graphics.
DeleteI'm just curious, because I can't honestly see any other reasons why it wouldn't be the same. And if one thinks about it, it wouldn't be the first time its gotten a graphics change.
Obviously it be better if either FAPCOM returned or a spriter of his caliber were found to replace him if it became necessary, but honestly this game is too awesome to allow to die. You've really created something special and great here, and to simply end up having it die would be horrible :(
Well, it would stay the same in terms of gameplay, but I've noticed that flash games don't seem to have good saving/loading functions, and they don't handle lots of resources very well.
DeleteThat likely depends on how your saving. if you converted the game, you could always try and see if there's a way to sort of jank the save system from Corruption of Champions.
DeleteActually, if you wanted an idea of how to get it might look in Flash, you could consider UrielmanX7's Space Escape as a potential example. It doesn't seem to have problems with saving and loading at least.
The difference is, Space Escape doesn't have to deal with as many global variables, plus it's all stored in the online cache. It doesn't work with external resources either.

XD Anywayz, the fact that Fapcom is missing kinda sucks. :/ I hope he decides to come back, or someone else pops up who knows how to do sprites. Well, no worries though, bro. Don't stress yourself out over making this game; I think we all understand how busy life can be. As I say, things are gonna get worse before they get any better. I would help to get things going again but my experience is in sketching, not sprites. -_-'
