New Years Update

Yep, that's right. I didn't just put a countdown there for nothing! xP

This isn't the complete update I was planning, since this includes something a little different. Think of this as more of a 'halfway' update.

Included in this is:

- Removal of sex cooldown time for enemies.
- Complete intro, and bartender NPC.
- Crouching now has its own key
- Christmas surprise!

There's several new areas with this update, however, I haven't reached the point I wanted to yet, which is why there is no save point. (and it wouldn't make sense to have it in the middle of the street)

The next update will definitely have a save point though, since you guys have wanted to save your games.

Also, I had to make a new Mediafire account, which means any old versions will be deleted after a certain period of time. Sorry about that :/

P.S. Since quite a number of people got here from other developers pages, I have decided to include their games in a list on the right. Hopefully you guys will enjoy a few games you hadn't played yet. :)

P.P.S. Should probably mention, Xmas replacers for anal and crouching will be done in the next week, promise :)

  2. I would like to report a possible bug.

    In the anal scene for Rebecca after the zombie started cumming, the sprites for both the Z and Rebecca vanished, and an error report about trying to remove non-existant sprites popped up or some such, I didn't get a good look at it. I'll see about screencapping it or writing the error description down to provide further information.

    3. Yup, that's the one. Specifically, at least for me, it happens when the zombie is climaxing.

      Also, for clarity's sake, three questions.

      1-If the zombie reaches the bartender, atm, nothing happens other than the bartender vanishing, correct?

      2-I managed to reach the necrophilia skill, but I was wondering if there's even an animation for that.

      3-Still no special text for giving in as a whore ey? That's unfortunate.


      Also, I love the Christmas surprise. very nice work Z-Fied and Fapcom.

      Oh, and a 2ndary bug to report. It seems in the alley behind the shop, if you get sexed by the dogs one too many times, the zombies seem to not be able to grapple you. It might have been area specific, and I'm not sure if it would still happen if you left the alley and came back.

      Would love to see more dialogue between the bartender and Rebecca, especially after you kill the zombie.

      As an aside, I still can't seem to figure out how to do the hiding thing with that one barricade/hidey hole thing. Has that been added in yet?

    4. Ok, think I've busted the bug this time.

      1) Yeah, FAPCOM's going to add a death animation for him (poor guy) and the zombie will then go after Rebecca.

      2)The Necrophilia skill is purely for damage reduction, and the fact it is so far down in the Whore tree, Rebecca would be so corrupted that she doesn't even care about them anymore.
      If you are wondering about the riding zombie ability, that's not introduced yet, but it will be.

      3) Well, what was originally the "whore" dialogue became the submit dialogue. (They're pretty much the same thing)


      That's an odd bug, I'll try to replicate it.

      Dialogue for the bartender will be added, that's actually the next step!

      Hiding hasn't been implemented yet. Again, it will be at some point.

      Well, FAPCOM is finishing off the Cerberus sprites and the missing replacers, and I'm going to update it with those and the bug fixes. So... this week?

      2-Excellent, can't wait for it to be.

      3-No, I meant like with when as a virgin you get screwed the first time. Like how she states it was horrible. Have some sort of dialogue for the first time for the zombie and dog if you chose the prostitute option.

      and yay for update this week!

      Oh, and, two more questions. make that three

      1+2-Any chance that if you save the bartender he could be a temporary merchant (limited supplies of certain items)? If not, could there be more ammo hidden about? It didn't take me long to have to resort to the knife to start taking zombies out.

      3) Oh ok. That's a good point, I'll probably add that in.

      1+2) I could start developing the merchant system and use him as the guinea pig. There is a bit of ammo scattered about already.

      I plan to make this game in between the old RE difficulty and the new one. As in, not too much ammo scattered around, but the merchants will sell you it. (Which will slow down your upgrading of weapons)

    7. The thought also occurred to that if you could also end up making a short default dialogue line for when innocent Rebecca submits for the first time as well. Its not necessary, but it adds flavor to the game (plus I love Dialogue :) Speaking of which, it'd be funny if a virgin Rebecca refused to wear the holiday costume, like a sort of "Why the heck would I wear that with ZOMBIES around?!"

      As for the ammo, I only found one. Perhaps I'm not looking hard enough.

      Oh, and for the record, THANK YOU FOR THE CROUCH BUTTON ^_^ It works wonders now! the dogs are substantially more handable now.

      Sad to hear that on the VA front. I assume whomever was doing the voice previously lost interest?

      Wonder how many women are on the LoK Forums, and if any of them would be interested (or if any of the guys know any women who'd be interested)

      Defintively going to have to donate some cash to this project when my paycheck comes in this week. If it comes down to it, I'm sure you could find someone willing to do the lines for a little cash.

    8. Yeah, I'll think about adding more dialogue, there's lots of potential.

      There's only two lots, but one of them has 30 bullets, which is enough to kill a lot of zombies. I'm also surprised nobody noticed I changed the accuracy system a bit, the player has a higher chance of missing now.

    9. Aye, I did notice the accuracy had changed. first few times i figured it was because the zombie wasn't in the right lane to get hit in. Then I started noticing that some shots were passing him even when he was pretty close.

      It shall be a good day when a new voice actor is found. While I do like the voice of the previous voice actor, there's not enough variation in the lines to make it more interesting (the fact that I've played the demo's so many times doesn't help :p)

  4. Great idea the christmas present!
    And i´m sorry but i have a Bug/problem with the game:
    I can´t close the game complete before i´m dead. Why?
    Last Time the game hang up and i can´t do anything. Restart PC.

    1. Hm, I don't see why everyone has so much problem closing the game. You hit Escape, and it pauses the game and brings up a menu where you can quit.

      And for the "last time" do you mean the game froze? Completely? There's no memory leaks, so I don't know why it would do that.

      If rebecca died after sex my sreen show me the game over and when i click Z for back to main menu it goes black and not more.

    Thank you ich-bins! We're happy you enjoyed the Christmas treat!

    @ZFied, I'm polishing up the anal and crouching idle sprites, but I've had to work this New Year's Day so it's coming out delayed! I'll be sending them over in a short bit.

    I think what ich-bins is referring to is not a freeze due to memory leak but because some call hasn't been made by the game and it's just stuck. I've just played the demo to find how the sprites are in-game and ran into a few bugs. I've detailed them in an email I'm about to send. I think one of them is the same one ich-bins has encountered.

  6. I was thinking that if you want to be a whore in the game:
    If you save the bartender you could do something with him and you would get whore points instead of the 10+ innocent points that you get at the moment.
    Just an idea. Great game anyways, can't wait til its done

    2. I had thought of that. The thought of it possibly allowing you to get a discount from him during his tenure as temporary merchant was something I had also considered.

      Which reminds me. When we meet the actual merchant, I demand that it be the same merchant from RE4 and that he have the same lines! He's quite possibly the only thing from that game I liked xP

  7. Hey there kuragari! Thanks for doing the round of bug-hunting for us earlier, really appreciate it! ZFied has managed to keep the bugs at a minimum despite barely having any time to test, so he's been working really hard on the project.

    Some of the feedback we've been getting goes along the lines of not enough area to explore in Chapter 1. So we're looking at trying to introduce at least two new large areas which are completely different environments to the outdoors street atmosphere you've been going through so far.

    It will also provide a little bit more time and gameplay, instead of introducing the boss straight away. Since the boss is slated to be the end boss of Chapter One, we realized she cannot be introduced until the end of the Chapter to allow for better pacing. So in answer to your question, it won't be for a while D:

    The introduction scene and several missing sprites for the Cerberus are this week's priority, in addition to the missing sprites for the Christmas surprise.

    As a side note, I noticed a lot of rookie mistakes I made a long while ago when these sprites first came out. It's frustrating to have to simply ignore them now, since I can't do anything about them with my current workload.

    1. Hey, no problem. The instant the update was available, I was playing it, and had every intention of putting forth my thoughts on it, as well as any errors that happened to crop up.

      I do agree with that assessment, at least to an extent. The fact that there doesn't seem to be much you can click on and examine might not help. I honestly think it might have been neat to be able to actually go inside the boutique for instance (maybe even stumble upon a women being screwed silly by a zombie in a changing stall) If it weren't for the desire to get chapter 1 done, I'd say the street area's could actually use more work, at least in adding details (using the street scenes of RE2 and 3 as examples) Which reminds me...I don't know if this will come up, but you might need a few sprites for climbing up a ledge. Haven't seen a RE game that hasn't had that at some point in it.

      As for the Boss, there's actually a way to introduce the boss without having Rebecca fight it. Give her access to say a security room with a camera that happens to capture some footage of the boss, or have Rebecca be on the other side of a one way mirror and see the boss walking by or doing something before it wanders off.

      I'm suddenly wishing I was even remotely decent at spriting. Then I could actually lend some real help :P

      That reminds me, speaking of sprites, how long till Rebecca ends up getting other weapons? The reason I'm asking is because its a bit jarring right know when your wielding the knife, but when you run your holding a pistol.

      Once Chapter 1 is finished, that would probably be a good point to go back and fix anything your not happy with.

    1. It should only damage you when you do not submit to the zombie by pressing C. And it is rape if without submission so... i think that is the reason

      Which really leaves me to think this game needs another bar. A Health bar for dealing with the actual combat attacks, and a Will bar for dealing with the sexual attacks.

    5. It makes sense from a game perspective though. (note, this is not me saying it needs an extra bar, I'm just rambling here) I mean sure, the health bar being Rebecca's will to keep going if the zombies and monsters are only going to screw her. On the other rotting hand (:p) if there's a chance a zombie may try and just bite you, that wouldn't be so much a will to keep going as it would be a "I've been bitten by a sodding zombie!!!"

  9. A thought has occurred to me. At some point, might it be better to make which sex grapple Rebecca ends up in randomized? I say this because some of the grapples could overlap at some point with how you get into them (For example, an oral sex grapple could be initiated while crouching and facing the zombie...but this also would initiate the vaginal on the ground scene as well)

    Just something I figured might not be a bad idea to share.

  10. First, I'd like to thank you guys for all the work you're putting in to this project. I used to do a little programing way back in high school, so I can understand a little what it's like.

    I initially came to post about 2 bugs I saw, but one of them was already been mentioned (The zombie/rebecca anal sprite). The other I noticed was occasionally the dog would be moving across the screen, but in a sitting position. I think this really only happened while engaged in sex with a zombie.

    I liked seeing the 2-on-1 animation. I wouldn't mind see a few more. And speaking to the 2-on-1, I noticed both zombies died afterwards. I think that would be a interesting aspect to add, killing zombies by wearing them out :P.

      Are you sure about the bug with the gliding dog in the sitting position? There are no zombies in the room with the Cerberus dog. However, I think I know what you're talking about:

      The Cerberus is supposed to be knocked back when you land a hit on it. Unfortunately the knockback (and leap attack) sprites are unfinished (my bad!). This means instead of a knockback animation, he timidly glides backwards along the floor with his butt. :S

      So what you saw wasn't a bug, but a product of my very incomplete spritework >_<

    2. A couple things I've taken note of:
      1) there are 2 areas where there is more than just a single Cerberus in the room. Both are located after the pharmacy. (one has a single Cerberus and multiple zombies, and the other, which I just now found has 2 Cerberus.) In both, I noticed the dog gliding bug when having sex with something else (zombie or other Cerberus).
      2) the anal zombie scene bug seems to be linked to the christmas outfit. when I switched to the normal ouftit (aka naked, since it was torn off) I had no issues with the scene playing out as normal.

      Hopefully my input helps you guys out a bit.

    3. 1) Good grief, how on earth did miss those?! I thought ZFied hadn't implemented those areas yet because he might've wanted a specific wall type for the pharmacy tile. Thanks for that, I was able to replicate the bug you found!

      2) Yes, there was a slight hiccup in the coding. It wasn't referencing the right sprite. Partially because the Christmas anal sprite wasn't ready yet and that meant ZFied had to reference the default sprite, but a derp was made on my account. :S Should be rectified by the next update!

  11. Hi guys, I played this game during new year break and I have to say, you guys really did a good job to put all these together, keep it up.
    As for the game, I have some suggestions here. I notice there are two talent trees in this game, innocent and whore. It might be more interesting if you guys can provide players two totally different play styles for these two talent trees. For example, if you go with innocent line, you pretty much play it as you are playing normal Resident Evil, shot the zombie, kill everything that stands in your way. If you choose to go with the whore line, you have different way to deal with those zombies, while in whore line, if you spent enough skill points, you can kill zombies or at least damage them by having sex with them. Also, you won't get infected by T-Virus or at least have higher resistance then innocent line. You can even set up different ending for each line. Although I think most of players will definitely go with whore line. lol
    Well, its just my two cents here. Again, thank you guys for making such a good game for us.

      I'm not sure what ZFied's plans exactly are for the skill tree, so I'll leave this for him to mull on. When he first started the project he gave the team (we were bigger at the time) a general outline of how he wanted the game to go.

      However, we evolved past being another platformer and something closer to what ZFied thinks is true to the RE universe. I can't say for sure what his plans are specifically going to be for the endings and skill tree.

      As Rainbow Sparkle said below, the two tiers do offer different playstyles. And yes, the XP can be slow to rake in, so don't be afraid to purchase cheats in the extras submenu! Since the score system doesn't really do anything at the moment, there's really no penalty if you've already played the game seriously and just want to explore the skillset.

      Oh, and you can purchase one skill multiple times.

  12. The two tiers do offer different playstyles, though at the moment its hard to tell for several reasons (for innocent, experience gain is slow as heck atm. For Whore, it takes time for you to get to a point where the skills are actually really being helpful, aside from Fast-Learner) I do approve of the idea of killing zombies by sex though, it makes it so it has more of a use than just for us to fap to. And higher resistance is one of the perks to the whore line, ya just have to get enough xp to purchase it.

  15. I'm reposting this because it spanned two posts because I wasn't paying attention.

    First off, I like the game a lot. It's great. I found some bugs or glitches, but they are minor and don't effect the game very much.

    When the player examines the drinks (All kinds of beverages are here…) the player can then walk through the bar right below it. Just examine, and hit down arrow. I have also noticed the a similar glitch in the hiding place outside the bar, except the player can become trapped inside the hiding place. In fact I think if the player examines anything, the player can do impossible directional movements. In the alley, the player can walk up the wall after examining the posters. If the players health goes down to zero while submitted to the Cerberus, Rebecca falls to the ground and if the player doesn’t hit Z, the Cerberus moves away and another appears as does another Rebecca, but I am sure that has been mentioned already.

    1. About "phasing through the counter" bug (I'm not very good with naming!): Oh dear, well that shouldn't be happening. The freeze time mechanic was just rolled out this update. Thanks for catching this one!

      About the duplicate bug: This one also happens when Rebecca succumbs and she's still in the threeway scene. It makes things... interesting.

      Depending on his workload, ZFied will check on this soon. The next update might be a compromise between content addition and fixes.

  16. Out of curiosity, what's the next update going to be made up of mostly? I know that bug fixes are going to be part of it (and hopefully there won't be any new ones to report :P) but how much content adding might we see?

    Just wondering. Keep up the grand and glorious work you two are doing :D

      FAPCOM is away for this week, so I can't start on any new areas.
