GO Image Update #3

3 updates in 3 days, what is this madness?!

So here is the image again. The main change is the neck length. Not sure if it came out right though, let me know. Also added another grab mark, and made the breast mark look like he really dug his claws into her. I'm having real trouble working on the eyes, anyone know exactly what it is that needs changing?


In terms of programming, almost finished the merchant screen, and started working on 'The Laboratory'...

If you haven't guessed, I'll keep asking for opinions on this until it's perfect.

  1. loving the new updates z and being kept in the loop. personally i think the model looks really good and i think the eyes work pretty well. in my opinion the other guys commenting on the eyes might be thinking that theyre a bit too.... milky/cloudy looking. changing the whiteness might help

  2. Improved certainly, but in terms of problems I'm still looking at the neck. It *might* still be slightly too long - I can't tell on this picture due to the fact that I don't know the angle of the camera, but I think the biggest problem is the way it joins onto the body, especially on the left hand side. It looks... I don't know, flat somehow? Also,it does certainly look like Rebecca has an Adams Apple - not something women actually have.

    I don't know how practical this is, but it would be easy to find problems with the proportions if you uploaded a picture of Rebecca in a standard standing pose (front/side/back), rather than dead on the floor. Then, after the basic model is done to perfection, I'd imagine that doing any particular poses would go a lot smoother.

    1. I see what you mean about how it joins to the left side. I don't think there's a problem with the length. The Adams Apple thing is just the shading, or again could be how it joins up on the left.

  3. About the eyes; honestly, you're probably better off closing her eyes and her teeth clenched. Not very professional, but it seems like you're having alot of trouble. If you want to try again with her eyes open, try making her sclera more visible, and her iris a darker color to help the colors from looking alien. I can't really pinpoint the problem as well, but if I had to guess it would be the colors or maybe the mascara.

    1. I wouldn't say I'm having a lot of trouble, for some reason I'm just not seeing some of the flaws. I'll give the two suggestions about the sclera and the iris a go.

  4. I personally don't think the eyes are too much of a problem. I think the way you have them now gives her more of the dead look. The hazy glazed-over look reminds me of Deadite eyes off from Evil Dead; kind of like a "dead for awhile" look. Well, I guess keep workin' on 'em and you'll eventually have them down. :p Love the constant updates too! Keep it up. XD

  7. The neck is a little to long. They eyes are better too, but still feel off somehow. They look a little big or something. And they the iris isn't very well defined. Other than the issues with the head area, my thoughts are that she should probably look like zombies fucked her. Like, claw marks or bruising. Or bites. Anyway, I'm happy to see the updates! Keep it up!

  8. In a couple update's back didn't someone say they were up for being the voice of the Rebecca? What's the status on that? did you contact her or vice versa?

    1. Went onto the forum, signed up, PMed her, started emailing on windows live, and it could be good.

      She can't record for 2 or so weeks due to her recording equipment being elsewhere.

  9. Also on a side note did you contact the guy who said he could help you in programming and cg stuff? if so then these 2 could be very helpful in assisting you in your work and maybe give you some breathing room Z and try to get as much sleep as you can otherwise you will end up as a zombie.

  10. The eyes, in my opinion, look like they're drawn on at an angle. The problem is thus with two different perspectives for the eyes and the rest of the face. You may want to try out different shapes to give it the right perspective.

  12. Maybe you should use the song in the end credits. Also, I think the problem with the eyes has to do with the black around the eyelids, they look a bit unnatural or copied on. If you thinned the opacity of the black on the bottom of the lower eyelids by half and and maybe around the upper lids you'd get a less pasted on effect. Aside from that good game mechanics for an H-game, keep up the good work to both you and your partners.

  13. wel about the eyes, I'm not a doctor, but afaik the pupils turns dimmer when someone is dead(and mayb making the pupils a little tinier too), that might help.

  17. I've been a Resident Evil fan since 1997, and I really appreciate what you are doing here. Just be sure to keep your game more old school Resi than new school Resi - limited ammo with the focus on survival, not action. Survival rape... Fuck yeah.

  19. Sorry, but i dont like 3D Pictures. Not only yours, i never like them.
    I hope at the finish game are some tentacles and/or rape scene or enemys ;)
    I wish this game get successfully and you get enough money for all the work you get with it.

    1. At the very least, its time for a news post informing us of progress. However, I shall not say its a requirement. I once again worry more that something RL has happened that would prevent him from posting.

      It could also be that whatever was keeping Fapcom occupied is really keeping him occupied, and without sprites to work with there's only so much Z-fied can do.

  27. Sometimes spending toooo much time on computer can seriously mess with your head and some things out there in real life might need fixing the more u stay away from them the more they grow. Just my issue. I think he could have something in common with this. I hope u will be back Fapcom, sorry for harsh words in the past i share some things.

Random internet guy's very late two cents, why not find an image of a real person to work off of for proportions and add your style as you please (quick google image search found a woman with a scarf in close to that position "dead woman lying on the floor stock") hope it helps, the project looks great so far.
